Blood Money is a quick book that you can read
in a few hours, but the author packed in the drama and character development.
This book kept me hooked, turning each page to find out what happened next. I
can't wait to see what Nick and Mags tackle next.

This crime novella is indeed a page-turner.
Nick Hammer is a crusty, beer-drinking ex-cop with a cold case to solve and an
ax to grind. Despite his gruff exterior, Hammer is a decent man and a likeable
character. The repartee between him and his reluctantly accepted partner is
entertaining; the story combines wit and suspense in an engaging combination.

time I wanted to take it really slow as I didn’t want it to end. Really happy
there is another one out “The Lost Girls”. Highly recommend it!

This novella starts with a very dysfunctional
family, a member of which has gotten involved in a nasty business. She’s just a
cog in the machine, however, of a major sex-slave market operation. Nick Hammer
and his trusty side-kick Mags Gomez get pulled into the case, indirectly by
their mystery helpers from a previous case. We find out more about Watershed,
while Hammer and Gomez start investigating the case of a missing teenager,
which ends up costing Gomez a lot. The working relationship between the two
heroes develops, and the banter between the two of them, and between these
uninhibited Texans and their more urbane clients is entertaining. The action is
fast-paced, making this a fun, just-one-more-chapter read.
