An Excerpt from My New, Book Natural Religion - The Path of Animism

The word religion is a term with a narrow focus. It is a word whose meaning our pre-Christian Ancestors would not grasp. A world and life accepting worldview do not have a narrow focus; it is a birth to death way of life, faith, and folkway. For our pre-Christian Ancestors, planting crops, making mead or ale was a “religious act” - joint action working in cooperation with nature in the Natural World. It was the same thought for giving birth, having sex, and even dying. They were not wrong, and it is the same today because we cannot be separate from nature and the Natural World. It is only in our minds; in our imagination we perceive ourselves to be separate from the Natural World. This is a true illusion. Organized religion with its world and life rejecting salvationist doctrines are responsible.
